Owners of public and private diesel vehicles and equipment are eligible to apply for $45,000 in grants to reduce diesel emissions in Greene, Webster, Polk, Dallas and Christian counties, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources has announced.

Selected applicants will receive from $5,000 to $45,000 for cost-sharing projects. The grants will cover up to 40 percent of a project's cost.
Grants for the Missouri Clean Diesel Program will be awarded through random selections, according to DNR.
The program is part of a statewide effort in the Kansas City, St. Louis and Springfield areas.
