A Shell Knob teen was taken to a north Arkansas hospital Wednesday night for treatment of injuries suffered in a crash on Mo. 39 near Viola, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

Rodney O. Darbro, 17, was taken to St. John’s Hospital in Berryville for treatment of serious injuries after a 9:30 p.m. crash one mile south of Viola.

The crash occurred when Darbro’s northbound 1999 Ford ran off the roadway, hit a culvert and overturned, according to the patrol.
